Hi!

Hi!
Hi!

1st Journey in CPTLE

1st Quarter Experience

(Haha! Late post)

In our 1st quarter, we tackled about egg dishes. I learned the different ways to cook egg and some are from different places. I learned the origin of a specific egg dish. There are different market forms of egg that can buy at market. It is important to learn those to know the kind of egg market forms you are going to use on what dish you are about to cook. We may think that egg is simple but there's a lot of things that we can do using eggs and serve as our daily meal. Just like our first cooking activity for Grade 10,  we cooking omelette and scrambled eggs. Through cooking, we could expand our knowledge further to apply the lessons tackled.

The Journey & yet still not the end

Overall Experience

Cooking is one of my weaknesses and Grade 10 lessons are all about cookery but it didn't bother me at all because I know there are teachers to guide and teach students and that's what Ma'am Joy did. I always have a great experience in CPTLE. I learned and experienced a lot though stress is always with schoolworks. Let's see.

It is not the end, it is a great beginning.

We may experience struggles and hardships throughout the 4 quarters but the most important thing is we learn, we succeed, and of course we did it! I believe, the activities we made are stepping stones for a better performance, a great performance rather. We will not try to bring the best of our abilities if this would worth nothing. Hard work always pays off! Every single day spent with my classmates doing schoolworks are the best memories that I could treasure forever.

Till next time!

Last Quarter Journey in CPTLE

4th Quarter Experience

We tackled a lot in this quarter so that I don't want to tell each details of it *hehe*

Again, of course, I learned a lot, the different cuts of meat, different ways to cook meat, different cuts of meat and the characteristics of a meat to consider when buying meat at the market. Meat have the big percent in human consumption so we need to know and learn what are the factors of a good meat. Also, we must know the different ways to store meat to prevent spoilage and cross-contamination.

To expand our experience as Grade 10 students, we were tasked to organize and handle food expo and tiangge. It was a great memories to experience the things that a Grade 10 student could.

I titled this post as the "Last Quarter Journey in CPTLE" Yes, this is our last quarter for our Grade 10 life but this is not the end of our journey. Therefore, I believe, this is a great start to continue our journey as we move up. A journey forth to the new beginnings.

Food Expo & Tianggeeeee

Food Expo

Hello, another random gif again *hehe nvm.
Food expo is the most awaited activity of the Grade 10 students in every Fiathletics. It may be need a lot of effort and preparation but despite of the struggles I know it would be worth it at the end of the day.
Hard work always pays off.

"Dumpling Haus"
Fiathletics 2019
~au

Dumpliiiiings!

It was a nice day to start Faithletics. On that day, some students were preparing for their game, student councils were also preparing for games as well as the committees and of course, it was the day to open the food expo.

For the Grade 10 students that are first time to handle a food expo were filled with excitement and enthusiasm. This activity is not just a project but to gather experience, knowledge and memories.

I would like you to meet the ppl behind promotion.

Yea, I'm just doin' what I'm supposed to do. A poster for the promotion.

 Oh yeaaaaaaaaaa!

They are busy gathering the costumers' orders.

This our menu, as you can see it is affordable. Affordable and delicious!

I was surprised that the dumplings we made was being sold out early so that, some of our classmates craving for dumplings didn't eat any.

It was rough as we start preparing for the food expo till the flow runs smoothly and enjoyed the day at the fullest extent.

This was our first day for Fiathletics 2019.

Tiangge

More random giifs, nvm.

Tianggeeeeee. We all know tiangge is a common place that you can buy things at cheap prices. If I am not mistaken it was first time in Fiat Lux Academe to have tiangge inside of the school premises and handled by luxians.

*background music plays* TIANGGE! ten tenen tenenenenenenen TIANGGE!

So we decided to name our tiangge "Gold Magic" are you familiar with it? It was derived from the "Blue Magic" because we aimed to make our tiangge like Blue Magic.

It was a nice another rainy day to start our tiangge. Just like the preparation for the food expo, everyone are busy and also filled with excitement and emthusiasm.

"Gold Magic"

Our very own, customized quotes

If you are wandering where am I in this photo, I was at the back doing some stuffs with Rae.

Yeaaaah! This is my actual shot on that day.

 Customized quoootes!

Orayt! I enjoyed that day even though it's exhausting. This would be the my last Fiathletics but still  I enjoyed a lot and I enjoyed more because of them :) Au

That's all :)

3rd Quarter Journey in CPTLE

3rd Quarter Experience

Our topic for 3rd quarter was all about stocks, soups, and sauces.

Stocks, soups, and sauces are different to each other especially when it comes in preparation. Our class was divided into 3 according to our birthmonth to discuss the topics I have mentioned. I was belong to Group 3 which were composed of ppl born in Ber months and our assigned topic was Sauces. I didn't know that the 3 topics does have a lot of branches like it's classifications, ingredients, preparations and etc. but I learned a lot from those.

To expand our knowledge in this lesson, our performance task was to prepare sauce for fish fillet (as you can see on my previous post). It was always great to learn and discover new things through performance tasks. My 3rd Quarter Journey was just fantastic!

Fish Fillet with Tartar Sauce

Hi, another random gif *hehe* nvm.

Wadduuuuuuuup! *badumtss*

Presenting...
Group 3's chosen sauce
Tartar Sauceeee

If you are wandering what is and why it is on the plate. Imma explain. All we have to do was to cook sauces but think of this first, if you are going to cook a huge amount of sauce without any dish that could dip on it how we will going to eat all the sauce we made? It would be just a waste that's why our CPTLE teacher told us to cook fish fillet too.

First of all, I'm sad to say that we don't have a lot of pics because all of my groupmates were busy doing stuffs *hehe*

Some of my groupmates were busy breading the fish, some were frying the fillet, some were helping to reach the ingredients easily, some were washing the used tools, cleaning our kitchen workplace, busy making the sauce and I am one of thoseeeee. I volunteered to help in preparing the sauce. I help in cutting oniooons and that was hard HAHAHA it hurt my eyes. I brought pickled relish *hehe*

If you are wandering who are they, they are the ppl who took my position as the dishwasher - _-

Even though I haven't cleaned any equipment in this performence task I enjoyed helping preparing the sauce. I was the of those "taga-tikim" There are times that the sauce still tastes mayo even if we had put a lot of onions, relish, pepper and etc. on it. But, surprisingly when we were about to give our dish to Ma'am She, our school Principal to taste and grade it she liked the sauce we made *hihi*

Yep, we are many compared to other groups.

That's all :)

2nd Quarter Journey in CPTLE

2nd Quarter Experience

Our topic for 2nd Quarter was all about vegetable and seafood dishes.

In preparing vegetable dishes, I learned that there are different cuts of vegetables according to what kind of vegetable dishes you are going to prepare. As we tackled that lesson, we applied what we have learned from the discussion about preparing vegetable dishes. Also, including the characteristics of a vegetable that must consider before buying in the market. To expand our knowledge about preparing vegetable dishes, we were assigned to cook bitter gourd.

Seafood, before, I didn't know how to classify seafood but until we tackled our lesson with this topic I learned a lot. I learned the difference of crustaceans and shellfish and the characteristics of a seafood to consider in buying. Even if we didn't cook any seafood dishes in this quarter, we were given a chance to make our own seafood dish through inventing it with the use of cook book, which was used to list all the ingredients and procedures of seafood we want. Then, I made myself a cookbook containing the recipe of my very own "Shellfish ball"

I was able to gather knowledge in my 2nd Quarter Journey and I enjoyed every activities we made in this quarter. I'm hoping it would be the same as we continue our cooking journey in other quarters.

Sauteed Broken (Bitter) Gourd

Hellooo! Another random gif, nvm.

Suuuuup! *ten tenenen*  I would like to preseeent our another assigned dish Sauteed Bitter Gourd!

Yum yum yum, looks delicious right? (shrimpu)

Helpful tip: To lessen the bitterness of bitter gourd, soak it in a bowl of water with salt for few minutes.

It's sad to say that I don't have much pictures this time because almost of my time was spent doing the dish washing chores hehe. I would be glad more if I am useful to them than taking photos but did nothing, right?

Most of the people doesn't like bitter gourd because of its taste but I learned its taste depends on how it was cooked. Just like what we have tackled in our lesson about vegetable dishes. Vegetable should have a snappy sound so that the vegetable is not mushy when eaten.

This dish that we cooked was different from the usual sauteed bitter gourd because we usually use only beaten eggs in cooking bitter gourd while this one adds shrimp and grounded pork meat. This style is way better that the usual. It's tasteful *yum yuuum*

After doing some methods in cooking this dish charaaaaan~

It was an another job well done for us!

Successfully finished the preparing, cooking, garnishing and serving of our assigned vegetable dish, sauteed bitter gourd :)

That's all :)

Bico express

Hello! Just a random gif again, nvm.

Waduuuup! It's meeeeeee! I would like to present our assigned dish, bicooooo!

tadaaaaaa~

Bico is a well-known kakanin dish in Philippines. Malagkit rice, from the word itself it creates the sticky consistency of the Bico. Sugar and coconut milk is a good combination that creates sweetness. Aside from its sweetness, the toppings or Latik adds flavors too. Effort and love should be added too for more delightful taste hihi.

(Latik)

First, we prepare the latik for the toppings of our bico and I'm proud to say I was there when we were preparing latik (meaning to say, I'm not washing dishes hehe)

:)

As we finished cooking latik it's time to go back to wooork haha!

Yeah! A job designed for me, dishwasher HAHAHAHA

After few moments of washing dishes, I returned at the cuisine and tadaaaa!

Yay! When I took a bit portion of bico to taste it, it was suprisingly delicious! Then, little by little the portion I get was getting bigger haha. I'm glad to be part of this group. I'm glad to make memories with them.

That's all :)

Eggsuee

Hi! Just a random gif, nvm.

Cooking is my weakness. I don't know how to cook, seriously. However, burned fried egg is the best egg dish that I can cook. I believe, I can still improve my cooking skills through performance tasks that I'm looking forward in CPTLE and recently I learned how to cook omelette and scrambled egg together with my groupmates.

Charaaaaaan!

Every time when cooking, I always end up doing plating and washing dishes :>

I enjoyed cooking with these guys even though I didn't cooked hehe. I learned new things that I can apply in my everyday life.
